The main project running at the monastery at the moment is the condition assessment of the manuscripts. The books are assessed one by one using the St. Catherine's condition survey paper form. Conservators travel to monastery two or three times a year to carry out the assessment. The information collected is transferred to a database which is being developed for this purpose. Over 90 per cent of the manuscripts have been examined so far. More information about each individual trip can be found under progress in the left-hand menu.
