displace-patterned paste paper
Paste paper in which design elements have been added by partially displacing the wet paste colour using a variety of different techniques. As a result, the paper is left more or less exposed where the pressure was applied and the paste colour can often be seen to have been pushed to the edges of the exposed areas, leaving a thicker application around the edges of the coloured areas.
