The project will be represented at three conferences this autumn. Nicholas Pickwoad will be giving a short paper with the title: "The Saint Catherine Monastery Library Project" at the 21st International Congress of Byzantine Studies in London on 24 August.
He is also to give the last paper, "Conservation and Continuity: Preserving the Library of the Monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai" at the IIC Munich Congress on 1 September. Thanasis Velios will be giving a paper about the manuscript survey and the database designed to hold the information generated by it at the annual Care and Conservation of Manuscripts conference organised by the Arnamagnæan Institute of the University of Copenhagen in co-operation with the Royal Library (19-20 October, 2006).
