LCD is hiring

The Linked Conservation Data (LCD) consortium is progressing to the second phase of the project in 2020 funded by a year-long grant from the AHRC. During this phase we will establish a framework for sharing conservation vocabularies and we will develop a pilot to showcase the potential of Linked Data in conservation. This phase will allow the consortium to develop a long-term plan and funding application for integrating conservation records through the use of Linked Data.

We are hiring a postdoctoral researcher to lead in the development of the pilot which will be applicable to any conservation documentation but with case studies from book conservation. This will include working with consortium partners to collect the data, data cleaning and reconciliation, data modelling and development of a web system for data delivery. The researcher will also contribute to every aspect of the project in this phase. LCD is a community engagement project as much as it is a technical development project and we focus on skills development and training opportunities.

LCD is a collaborative project led by the University of the Arts London (UAL) working closely with Stanford Libraries. This post will be based in UAL but will require collaboration with consortium members around the world.
